A jury board comprised of BGMEA, IFC-SEDF, and environmental experts have reviewed the findings of a survey conducted on the wet processing factories (Composite Fabric, Yarn, Dyeing & Washing) in Bangladesh and selected our factory among others for the award.
The award was presented in a ceremonious occasion amidst the presence of national and foreign diplomats, delegates and dignitaries among other industry leaders.
Hon’ble Minister of Commerce attended as the Chief Guest while NBR Chairman attended as the Guest of Honor on the Award Presenting Ceremony.
Awarded for the Brilliance in Supporting Progressive Health and Rights Practices
The quality and success of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights programs are dependent on having the right people deliver the right services most appropriately. NTG’s support in respect was extraordinary and recognized by an award by development partners in 2016.
These supports included female workers’ access to convenient, gender-friendly, affordable and quality SRHR products and services within or near factories. The particular approach shifts away from traditional awareness and capacity building programs targeted only at workers to actively engaging the private sector such as NTG.
The award was presented by State Minister for the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs, Meher Afroze Chumki; Faruque Hassan, Senior Vice President, BGMEA; and Her Excellency Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere, Ambassador, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands’. Among others, officials from various NGOs, the RMG sector, government sector, trade bodies, the Netherlands Embassy, and media representatives were present at the event.
Awarded for the outstanding contribution in CSR
Northern Tosrifa Group was recognized as “CSR Contributor” by the Rotary Club of Uttara. In the auspicious occasion of “RCU Vocational Excellence & Recognition Night 2018” on March 10.
The award was presented to NTG’s CEO, Mr. Mohim Hassan. Eminent personalities with outstanding contributions and veteran Rotarians were also recognized for their great endeavors towards society and environment.
